Housing Affordability and Trends - RBC report

November 29, 2011 - Updated: November 29, 2011

"Affordability levels still posing little threat to housing demand overall."  RBC has posted Housing Trends and Affordability for November 2011.

British Columbia has the highest ownership costs as a % of household income in Canada.  Just to own a home, it requires 70-80% of ones annual revenue to purchase either a bungalow or a two-storey.  This isn't true for Atlantic Canada and Alberta where the average is between 40-50% and Ontario is slightly higher between the 50-60%.
